Sam + Sean | A Blue Ridge Engagement
Clayton, Georgia. The southernmost portion of the Blue Ridge Mountains, a portion of the larger Appalachian Mountains range, stretch just enough into the northern part of Georgia to meet with the Georgia Piedmont region. The Blue Ridge Mountains get their name for the chemical compound isoprene which trees emit, which interacts with other molecules in the atmosphere to give the distinctive blue haze the Blue Ridge is known for. It's crazy to think I don't live too far from the mountains, and I try to get up here as often as I can to enjoy all its wonders.
Enter Sam + Sean. They live in Clayton and wanted to incorporate the wildness that makes up this neck of the woods for their engagement photos. I had so much fun that day, driving through winding roads and taking in some stunning views. The overlook where we first stopped is where Sean proposed to Sam, and the lake house we went to after is where they first met. I can't think of two better spots for these two lovebirds to have chosen to tell their engagement story. Sentimental spots always warm my heart.
